Your QR Code Guide
QR Codes are Simply Marvelous Magic Squares!
By using safety hangar software in conjunction with a label printer, your organisation will efficiently be generating QR codes for any item within your business.
Like any good manual we have given you a guide of the things you will need.
Why Shouldn't We Embrace a DIY Approach, Just Like the Experts?
QR codes are commonly utilised across a variety of applications, ranging from placing orders in restaurants to providing essential information on business cards. With the camera on your smartphone, you can effortlessly scan these codes, which contain all relevant information encoded within the compact design.
Try one out and scan the QR code with your phone to the right. (silly picture alert!)
Log in to the pack - Select Assets
This is where you will store all of the assets that are important to your business. Any changes or adjusments are done in here. Easy to view and find.
Create your Inventory
Once you have created your assets, remember this can be boilers, equipment, vehicles, consumer units anything you required information for and a QR code.
Create as many Assets as you wish
You can now begin to link all of your required Information to it, for example, risk assessments, your instruction manuals, checklists, forms, training and so much more.
You have the ability to link anything to this and have all the information at the palm of your hand.
This is where the QR Codes come to life!
Pressing the purple buttons allows you to create one of two things. A QR Info Sheet which can be made laminated - printed and put on the wall by an asset or you can print a QR sticker using a label printer or a print company.
The possibilities are endless?
Here's some ideas on how you could use the system with these beautiful QR codes.
1. All tools coded for a full company inventory
2. Install boiler / Consumer unit and attach QR for warranty, information and certificates
3. Vehicle maintainance tracking
4. Install into windows or doors for info on when fitted, by who and brand of window.
5. Place into manufactured items for Quality control checks
Print & Scan your Qr Codes
Now you have created your assets and created the QR Codes the next part is to print and attach them to your kit and scan them as required.
Label printers are great for internal use, we would advise for outside equipment going to your local printers for external grade vinyl stickers for longevity.
Assets can be linked to a location.
When you have created your asset and you have attached your QR Code, its so simple to scan the QR code, Login and move your asset to the location you are at.You can do this by selecting the existing location or by using the Location services GPS in your phone to select the co-ordinates you are currently at.
This is particularly helpful if you are working at a large facility - school or even in a field.
